1 cup butter:
¾ cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs (unbeaten)
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda dissolved in
1 tsp hot water
1 cup nut meats (cut fine)
2 pkgs (14 oz) chocolate chips
2 cups oats, quick or regular
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter until soft. Gradually add sugars, creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each:
Stir in flour and salt. Add soda mixture and stir in. Stir in chocolate chips, oats, and vanilla.
Drop on a greased cookie sheet
Bake at 375º for 10 to 12 minutes.
