1 head cabbage,shredded
1/2 c.sugar
1/2 c.white vinigar
1 tsp salt
dash of pepper


4 to 5 slices of bacon cut in pieces fried crisp
1 small onion chopped & sauted in the bacon fat

Directions:
Directions:
Put cabbage in pot,fill with wate,bring to a boil . Boil for 10 minutes.Drain all but 3/4 cup water.Add rest of the ingredients.(all but the bacon & onion) Cook to desired tenderness. Add
fried bacon & browned onion to thicken.

Taste the cabbage . May need sugar or vinigar to your taste
