2 lb ground beef
2 medium onion (finely chopped)
2 garlic cloves (crushed)
1 can (14 oz) spaghetti sauce
1 can (16 oz) whole tomatoes (smoosh with hands)
1 can (4 oz) whole mushrooms
1½ pint sour cream
½ lb provolone cheese (shredded)
½ lb mozzarella cheese (shredded)

8 oz medium shell pasta

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet, brown and drain beef; add onion and sauté until tender; set aside

In large bowl, thoroughly mix together garlic, spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, sour cream and provolone
Mix in beef mixture and set aside

Boil pasta to al dente according to package instructions

Mix into sauce mixture and pour into casserole dish; top with mozzarella

Preheat oven to 350ºF
Cover and bake until cheese melts and warmed through

Grandma used generous measurements when she cooked - extra cheese is not a problem.
Provolone cheese is not normally available in "shredded" so I buy what's available and chop it myself.

When I make this, I typically make the sauce the night before to let the flavors meld; I then boil up the pasta fresh and bake at 400º instead
